Most know it by now, but the Steelers have been terrible in Philadelphia for a long time. They haven't won a game in The City of Brotherly Love since 1965. That means some folks don't know what it's like to see their favorite football team win in that town. Every so often Pittsburgh hits the road to take on the Eagles, and many think this could be their turn to win a football game in that stadium.
For one reason or another, things have not changed in the favor of the away club in this matchup. 59 years is a staggering number, but the Steelers will hope to end that hainous drought in Week 15 of their schedule. This kicks off their insane calendar stretch where they will play three games in 11 days. Starting things off in Philadelphia only makes this sprint bitter.
This is not going to be an easy game. Some optimists believe the Steelers have a chance at winning this game because "they are due". Well, just because you say that doesn't mean it will go in your favor. Pittsburgh has a lot of things going against them in this battle as they will be missing some key players in this game while the Eagles have a complete roster and a healthier lineup.
Prediction: Steelers find a way to overcome their historic drought
It seems like this game can only go one of two ways. Either the Eagles will destroy the Steelers or Pittsburgh will find a way to squeak out a win. There seems to be little to change either of those two outcomes. Philadelphia has a lot of talent across its roster. It is going to take the best from the away team from every player to find a way to victory, and even that effort might not be enough.
Pittsburgh has to play a similar game style to what they do against the Baltimore Ravens. In that aspect, they could use this game as a prequel to what is to come in their following week against their hated rival. They need to stop the run game and contain Jalen Hurts in the pocket. That is easier said than done, but the Steelers have shown the ability to accomplish that task before.

If their defense can find a way to stop Saquon Barkley and force Hurts to try and resurrect a lackadaisical passing attack, then they could surprise a lot of folks. Other than that, the Steelers' defensive unit must find ways to turn over the football. They are one of the better groups to do that, and they must find ways to shorten the field for their offense to score points.
Speaking of offense, this is a game where Russell Wilson needs to be perfect. If he can spread the ball around, then it could limit the hurt of George Pickens being out of the lineup. That could also open up more opportunities for Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren in the run game. It will need to be a perfect effort all around if the Steelers want to end their 59-year streak and get over the hump.
