The trade rumors surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers appear to be never-ending. General manager Omar Khan has proven to be one of the most aggressive in his position, but the number of trade rumors that percolate around The Black and Gold is mind-numbing. OTAs just wrapped for the Steelers, and it showed some bright spots, but there remain concerns for the roster.

Khan has shoved himself into a tough spot at receiver after dealing George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys.

While they have some young receivers on the roster, they must try and locate a trade partner to acquire an upgrade. There have been rumors about Pittsburgh reaching out to teams in trade discussions, but they should focus on the Green Bay Packers.

Green Bay has more receiver depth than just about anyone. They might not be in jeopardy of losing much when final roster cuts arrive, but they have too many playmakers to keep happy. The Packers are contenders in the NFC, which might lead to tricky negotiations. Khan would be wise to keep Green Bay on the line with the hope of landing a potential upgrade.

It might not land a superstar, but they could vastly improve their receiving corps with a move.

Pittsburgh Steelers must call Green Bay to figure out a trade for one of their receivers after OTAs

The Packers selected two receivers with prime picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. That has produced countless trade rumors surrounding the club. They have a deep group of receivers on the depth chart, and it would make sense to trade one of them. All three of Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, and Dontayvion Wicks have been names floated in trade speculation.

Doubs might make the most sense, as Aaron Rodgers remains the favorite to become the Steelers' starting quarterback coming out of OTAs.

They overlapped one season together in Green Bay, but they formed a strong rapport. Doubs is heading into his final year under contract, meaning Pittsburgh would need to potentially extend him. Adding this veteran in a trade would bring experience and a proven playmaker on offense.

Recovering from a devastating injury is never easy, but Watson should be able to overcome it. He is on schedule to return around October, which means Calvin Austin III and Roman Wilson would have to step up until then. Watson is a pending free agent after this season, but he continues to show signs of improvement. He shouldn't cost too much to acquire and could blossom in Pittsburgh.

Wicks is the wild card in potential trade negotiations between the Steelers and the Packers.

He is the youngest of the receivers on this list of trade possibilities. He is also under contract control for a while longer as he becomes a restricted free agent after this year. Wicks brings the ideal size for the position and is someone who could flourish outside of a crowded receiving group in Green Bay.
