The Pittsburgh Steelers' offense got off to a rocky start in their Week 4 international game against the Minnesota Vikings. On their very first possession from Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland, Aaron Rodgers was sacked on the first play of the game before earning negative two yards on three plays before a quick three-and-out.
But it didn't take long for the offense to explode, thanks in large part to offseason, blockbuster trade acquisition DK Metcalf.
On Pittsburgh's second offensive series of the game, Metcalf had a seventeen-yard reception and an 11-yard reception to help the Steelers to a 9-play, 71-yard touchdown drive. Then, on their third possession and first of the second quarter, Metcalf got fans on their feet, taking a slant to the house for a remarkable 80-yard touchdown.

At roughly 6'4'' and 229 pounds, Metcalf showed off his exceptional breakaway speed for a huge wide receiver, as no Minnesota Vikings defender could catch him from behind. Fellow wideout Calvin Austin III got just enough on the block to allow Metcalf to cap off his impressive catch-and-run for a score.

This 80-yard touchdown reception by DK Metcalf wasn't just the highlight play of the first half; it was a record-setting play. Metcalf's impressive touchdown became the longest score in the history of an international NFL game—a record that he might hold for quite some time.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are finally unleashing DK Metcalf
DK Metcalf had back-to-back quiet games in Week 2 and Week 3, where he combined for six receptions and 52 yards. Though he did score twice during this span, this was nothing compared to the career first half he just had with the Steelers.
In the first two quarters against the Vikings, Metcalf exploded for four receptions on four targets for 122 yards and a touchdown. The Steelers are finding out just what he can do when he gets the ball in space on slants and post routes, and they're loving it.
The Pittsburgh Steelers led the Minnesota Vikings 14-6 at halftime, thanks to the impressive play of Metcalf.
