The Pittsburgh Steelers acquired Jalen Ramsey over the summer, bringing him in from the Miami Dolphins along with tight end Jonnu Smith. With Ramsey set to turn 31 years old next month, the trade could have been considered a bit of a risk for Pittsburgh but Ramsey showed exactly why the team brought him in with one big play in the final minute of action.
With the Steelers leading 34-32 over the New York Jets and under a minute in regulation, Pittsburgh needed a big time play. It was 4th-and-3 for the Jets and Ramsey gave them that big play, absolutely blowing up Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson, who had caught the ball for what would have been a pivotal first down.
Ramsey's hit, however, was so hard and ferocious that Wilson dropped the ball and the Jets therefore turned the ball over on downs. That hard hit directly led to a Steelers win and proved why trading for Ramsey was the perfect move for this team as they try to end their playoff loss streak that's stretched back to the 2016 season.

Jalen Ramsey's massive hit on Garrett Wilson proves why Steelers were right to trade for him
The Steelers' defense struggled to contain Justin Fields and the Jets offense throughout the day but hey, when push came to shove, Ramsey came up with a massive hit that helped the good guys win the game here. Now, had Wilson completely that catch and not dropped the ball, who knows how things would have gone but we don't have to wonder now.
Ramsey helped the Steelers get to 1-0 and that's the goal when you enter Week 1, finishing the week at 1-0. Hopefully, Ramsey continues to make plays like these and keeps on proving the Pittsburgh Steelers right in their decision-making this offseason.
