Aaron Rodgers isn't even playing for the Steelers yet and he's already making their life miserable.

Rodgers – who's basically down to either the Steelers or Giants for his final NFL act – is playing the hits again this offseason, and surprise! They're still as insufferable as ever.

As everyone around the NFL waits for his answer (and maybe 'everyone' is a bit misleading), Rodgers has, apparently, decided that he's in absolutely no hurry whatsoever to find a new team. While speaking to ESPN Milwaukee on Wednesday morning, NFL Insider Adam Schefter provided some intel on where things stand re: a decision. It's exactly as annoying as you're expecting it to be.

Aaron Rodgers could still be a ways away from making a decision about his future

"I think that the primary options are the Steelers and the Giants," he said. "And then, does he want to play? Before we even get to Minnesota. I think people have come to the conclusion that he wants to play, but to me, this shouldn't be that hard, right? The Steelers want you. The Giants want you. We're seeing players across the league make decisions. It shouldn't be that hard. Either you want to play or you don't ... My guess is Pittsburgh's the leader. But I don't know what Aaron's thinking right now ... I was told yesterday that it was going to be some time. That was yesterday morning. So what is 'some time?' Is it a day? A week? I don't know what 'some time' is."

Wonderful. Terrific. This is exactly how everyone wanted the Steelers' offseason to go. Anytime you can mortgage the whole offseason for a 41-year old QB who's notoriously difficult to deal with and maybe isn't even all that good anymore, you simply have to. Sure, things ended poorly in Green Bay and went even worse in New York, but it might work for the Steelers. You can never truly know unless you wait six weeks to find out.

At least this will only be a one season thing. Steelers fans can all already see the light at the end of the tunnel, even as they prepare to enter an 18-week darkness retreat. If there was any season to maybe take a step back and, like, invest in a new hobby or something, this is shaping up to be the one.
