That sound you hear is all of Pittsburgh celebrating the news of Myles Garrett leaving the AFC North and heading for the NFC West. The Cleveland Browns have traded the long-time Steelers nemesis to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for a haul that hasn't been finalized yet but is rumored to include Jared Verse, a first-round pick, and more. Ian Rapoport reported the bombshell trade on Monday afternoon.

Pittsburgh Steelers fans will love that this trade is happening because it gets Garrett, who was easily the Browns' best player, out of the division. No longer will Steelers fans have to worry about Garrett wrecking their offensive line, and that's a massive victory for this team.

Pittsburgh Steelers fans will be stoked about Myles Garrett leaving AFC North

The Browns selected Garrett number one overall in the 2017 NFL Draft, and it was a slam dunk of a pick for them. Garrett has racked up the awards since being the top pick in the 2017 draft, being crowned Defensive Player of the Year twice, including this past year, after notching 23 sacks for the Browns.

During his nine seasons in Cleveland, Garrett has never had fewer than seven sacks, and that was during his rookie year. Otherwise, he's been a consistent double-digit sack producer for Cleveland, and Steelers fans can now rest easy knowing that he's some other division's problem now.

Even with Garrett's success in Cleveland, the Browns never made it further than the divisional round of the playoffs. Clearly, he was ready to move on and play for a Super Bowl contender, and he'll get that with the Rams. Los Angeles was so close to reaching the Super Bowl this past season and, if this trade is any indication, they're more determined than ever to get back to the biggest game in sports.

Steelers fans, this is a great day. Hopefully, the Browns regret trading Garrett for years to come and botch the trade compensation, making this an even bigger win for Pittsburgh.
