The Pittsburgh Steelers are just days away from announcing their top pick to the world at the NFL draft. Different rumors are circulating in the NFL world. You can't believe everything you hear, but some tidbits that get "leaked" could potentially become reality. The big rumor revolves around the Steelers' interest in quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

They might like Sanders, but it's still difficult to imagine a reality where he winds up in Pittsburgh. Sanders would have to slide to their top choice, which remains more possible than before but still unlikely. The Steelers have too many holes to fill right now to take a shot at a quarterback. Their defensive line has a gaping hole after they cut Larry Ogunjobi earlier this offseason.

The Steelers' general manager recognizes this concern and has spent countless hours during the pre-draft process with different defensive linemen. Injury concerns have popped up before the draft throughout history, resulting in draft stocks falling off a cliff at varying points.

Pittsburgh has taken risks in the NFL draft before, and they might be willing to do that again under the right circumstances.

Pittsburgh Steelers worried about a red flag around Derrick Harmon

A recent news blurb by analyst Bryan Broaddus might destroy top Steelers draft target Derrick Harmon. Many believe the Oregon product is a first-round lock, but after what Broaddus claimed, he could have to wait a while.

"I'm getting some medical information that might not be great. That might cause a couple of guys to slide. Maybe him (Alfred Collins). Maybe Harmon from Oregon. Maybe a couple of sliders there," Broaddus said.

Broaddus spoke about this during an interview with Dallas Cowboys reporter Jeff Cavanaugh. He mentioned different NFL draft topics, but Steelers Nation will want to keep their eyes on the injury concern that could be following Harmon. The defensive lineman has been linked to Pittsburgh during the pre-draft process and could be their top choice if he is available at their pick.

Injury concerns pop up, and Pittsburgh brings guys like Harmon in for pre-draft visits to have their doctors examine them. It is worth noting that Troy Fautanu had a similar situation leading up to the first round last year, and he ended up missing most of his rookie campaign. After the team doctors cleared the organization to take Fautanu, it still bit them.

It's hard to determine what sort of injury concern Harmon might have going into the draft. Broaddus never mentioned the red flag that might cause him to wait a substantial amount of time when selections start to happen. The Steelers brought him in for a visit, and they will determine if they share the same worry.

Fautanu shows the Steelers are not concerned about potential last-minute injury problems that might arise before the NFL draft. Pittsburgh spent a lot of time with these incoming rookies, and they will have an understanding of their health status. Fautanu might've missed time, but Harmon could be different. Some teams might "leak" a red flag to nab a player later in the draft.

If they deem Harmon a healthy prospect, he will be a top contender as their first-round pick.
