With less than two weeks until kickoff of the 2026 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers continue to narrow down their search for the player who will ultimately be their first-round target. While wide receiver and offensive line are two positional groups that have frequently been discussed, one player who hasn't is Clemson offensive tackle Blake Miller.

And the more we dive into this underrated prospect, the harder it is to understand why.

Miller has loads of starting experience at Clemson, having played 54 games over his four college seasons. Over the past three years, Miller has seen the field for 2,768 snaps at offensive tackle. With uncertainty regarding the future of Broderick Jones and the offensive tackle position in Pittsburgh, Miller should at least be on Pittsburgh's draft radar.

But there is every reason to love this kid as a potential first-round sleeper.

The Pittsburgh Steelers must consider Clemson OT Blake Miller in Round 1

Miller's starting experience doesn't begin to scratch the surface of what there is to like bout this under-the-radar prospect. Though he's one of the most experienced players in the class, regardless of position, Miller recently turned just 22 years old. The combination of experience and youth makes him all the more intriguing.

Then there are his measurables and athletic testing. At the 2026 NFL Combine, Miller measured in at 6'6 3/4'' and 317 pounds with 34 1/4'' arms and a massive 83 7/8'' wingspan. He followed this up with an impressive 5.04 40-yard dash, 32'' vertical jump, 113'' broad jump, and 32 reps on the bench press.

Then, at his Clemson Pro Day, Miller recorded a 4.65 short shuttle and a 7.75 3-cone. The combination of his size and athletic testing earned him a 9.90 out of 10 Relative Athletic Score.

Quite frankly, Miller isn't lacking anything. In addition to his traits, experience, size, and youth, the Clemson star also has rave reviews about his character on and off the field. The cherry on top is that Miller only missed one practice and zero games over his entire college career.

The only qualm is that Miller played primarily as a right tackle during his college career. However, he showed he possesses the length, athleticism, and foot quickness to stick at left tackle in the NFL. And if the Steelers drafted him, they could always move 2024 first-rounder Troy Fautanu back to left tackle, where he played during his college days at Washington.

A few years from now, we could be looking back on the 2026 draft class and wonder why Blake Miller wasn't a top 10-15 pick in the class. Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh Steelers have a need at offensive tackle.

Blake Miller has the perfect combination of high-floor, high-ceiling. Yet he could slide into the 20s in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. The Pittsburgh Steelers need to do their homework on the Clemson product, and he could be in contention for pick No. 21.
