The first two days of the 2026 NFL Draft are in the books, and the Steelers have already come away with five total draft selections, including a late-third-round pick who could prove to be one of the steals of the draft. Even after trading up twice on Friday night, general manager Omar Khan still has five draft picks to work with for the third and final day of the draft today.

While not all of these picks will prove to make an impact (or are even guaranteed to make the team), there is talent left on the board that nobody saw coming.

After the dust settled on Pittsburgh's trades from yesterday, here's a look at the five remaining draft choices the Steelers still have in their bag.

Pittsburgh Steelers remaining draft picks for Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft

  • Round 4 (Pick 121)
  • Round 5 (Pick 161)
  • Round 7 (Pick 224)
  • Round 7 (Pick 230)
  • Round 7 (Pick 249)

The best remaining talent on the board—who has been for some time—is Tennessee cornerback Jerod McCoy. However, there are serious medical concerns involving another potential knee surgery and his career longevity.

If the Steelers don't want to go with a high-risk player, there are plenty of other options ahead of Day 3's kickoff. Miami cornerback Keionte Scott is tailor-made to play nickel (a position Pittsburgh still needs), and he was a player most believed would be selected on Day 2.

There are also names like CB Malik Muhammad, CB Keith Abney, LB Kyle Loius, S Kamari Ramsey, LB Deontae Lawson, LB Harold Perikins, and TE Joe Royer.

One name to keep an eye on today is Florida State defensive tackle Darrell Jackson Jr. The Steelers covet players who are big, long, and strong, and Pittsburgh hosted Jackson for a 30 visit ahead of the draft. The Steelers could also use one of their remaining picks to double up on the wide receiver position or find a return specialist late in the draft.

After addressing some of the team's biggest needs, Pittsburgh should look to take the 'best player available' approach in Round 1. They can afford to do that at this point.

Since Omar Khan took over in his first NFL Draft as general manager in 2023, the Steelers have struck gold on some Day 3 talents like South Dakota State guard Mason McCormick, Wisconsin outside linebacker Nick Herbig, and mammoth Iowa defensive tackle Yahya Black. Perhaps they can do it again with these sneaky late-round picks.
