2. Give Joey Porter Jr. more snaps

The Steelers appeared to have the solid starters in place to not rush the rookies into the lineup. That is quite clearly not the case any longer.

Levi Wallace isn't playing particularly well and the Steelers secondary needs an infusion of Joey Porter Jr. to play to a higher standard. Porter wasn't drafted simply for his namesake. He was worth the 32nd overall pick and likely higher. He should be ready to contribute to this defense already, and the time has come to let him get out there and make an impact.

Last week Porter received more snaps and was efficient with the opportunities he was given against the Browns. Porter saw two targets his way last week and negated both.

To compare, Wallace on 11 targets this season has given up eight receptions for 98 yards.

It's a small sample size from Porter, sure, but he's the defacto first-round pick with tons of potential. Wallace is longer in the tooth and has made his money as a steady player in the NFL. If he can't be that anymore, it's time to cut loose.

This is doubly important with Adams and Meyers lining up against the Steelers defensive backfield. The duo accounts for 231 of the Raiders 385 passing yards and 21 of 36 completions through two games. The Steelers need all of the help they can get when Garoppolo looks their way.
