Steelers bring in a challenge for punter Pressley Harvin

Pressley Harvin did have two decent seasons with the Steelers, but not stellar by any stretch. However, you had to cut him some slack in his rookie season as his father passed away; that certainly did not help. Plus in his 2022 season, he vastly improved. No one thought the Steelers would go sign a punter.

2023 seems to be a year in which perhaps we must expect the unexpected, as the Steelers signed Braden Mann. Mann was done with the Jets for failing to live up to expectations. It was surprising the Steelers signed a punter, it’s even more surprising they signed Braden Mann as the competition for Harvin.

It’s hard to expect Mann to be a threat to Harvin’s starting role, but crazier things have happened, and who knows, with a few good punts, maybe the Steelers will rethink things at the position. However, it was nothing anyone thought would happen this early in Harvin’s early career. Apparently, the Steelers GM wants to keep fans on their toes.
