The Steelers improved the win total from last season but it could be too little, too late

Look, I think it's great that we attained ten wins this season after having lost three in a row late in the season. We rallied and won our last three games to put us in a position where we have a shot at the playoffs. Whether that comes to fruition remains to be seen.

Frankly, whether we make the playoffs or not is immaterial. Mike Tomlin made the decision to move on from Matt Canada and give the ball to Mason Rudolph following a three-game skid. I applaud those moves, albeit those moves may ultimately be remembered as having been made too late in the game, so to speak.

With the tenth win of the 2023 season, Tomlin's streak of never having had a losing season remains intact. While that may not be a big deal to some, it is a big deal to me. Would I have liked some more playoff appearances along the way? Of course. Who wouldn't?

Again, regardless of whether we make the playoffs or not, I think Tomlin has proven that when the chips are down and our backs are against the wall, we come out and play inspired football. To get our tenth win on the road against our bitter division rivals in the final game of the regular season is nothing short of impressive.
