3. Darnell Wright, OT, Tennessee

This one stings a bit. I am a really big fan of Darnell Wright's tape at Tennessee. Playing in the best conference in college football, Wright always stood up to the test. He was remarkable against Alabama pass rusher, Will Anderson, and even the pressures he was credited for allowing this past season weren't ugly reps.

Sadly, it looks like Wright will no longer be an option for the Steelers at pick 17. Though some NFL Draft analysts would say this is a reach in the mid-first round, I think the consensus is far behind on Wright at this point in time.

After the NFL owners' meeting wrapped up, I almost expected to see Mike Tomlin and Omar Khan at Tennessee's Pro Day, but they apparently didn't have enough interest to make this happen. We could have argued that a schedule conflict was the cause, but Tomlin and Khan didn't show up at Florida or Oklahoma for pro days on the same day either.

I really liked Darnell Wright as a potential fallback plan if the top offensive tackles get wiped off the board early, but it seems like the Steelers don't have enough interest to take him in the first round. It's worth noting that Wright has not received a top-30 visit from the team either.
