1. RB Kareem Hunt

Recent rumors suggested that Kareem Hunt could be a name to watch in connection with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Personally, I'm not buying it. This team invested a lot in Najee Harris, and Jaylen Warren proved to be a quality rotational running back in his first season in 2023.

While Hunt still has some juice left in the tank, there's no reason for the Steelers to invest more money and resources into a backup running back (and one with past character concerns at that). The Steelers are obviously very familiar with Hunt as they have played against him twice per year over the past four seasons (and once in the playoffs).

The former Browns running back does fit the mold of what the Steelers look for at the position with his thick frame and power running style, but this team isn't adding a running back to their roster who can't play special teams.

Like every other name on this list, it would likely take an injury to players already on the roster for Hunt to get a chance to sign with the Steelers. If Najee or Warren were to go down for an extended period of time, this would open the door for Hunt. However, this is a move that really has no shot outside of that. It's smoke and nothing more.
