2. Levi Wallace must be demoted

One thing that stood out to me like a sore thumb in the Steelers' game against the Browns was just how incredibly awful Levi Wallace was. After watching a dumpster-fire performance from Wallace against 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk last week in the opener, I was already calling for Joey Porter Jr. to be promoted to the starting lineup. But that didn't happen.

In his second game of 2023, Wallace was a pile of steaming trash. He gave up multiple big plays in his coverage, allowed too much cushion all night, and always seemed to be a step slow. His worst play of the evening, however, was an inexcusably bad run fit in which he lost contain and allowed backup Browns running back, Jerome Ford, to carry the ball for a 69-yard run down to the one-yard line.

It's also worth mentioning that Wallace dropped about the easiest interception you will ever see off a dreadfully poor pass from Deshaun Watson.

Throughout the game, there were several unforgivable offenses that would have had most NFL coaches planting him on the bench. Porter once again earned just a handful of snaps in this game, but had sticky coverage on the final play of the game to seal it for Pittsburgh.

It's time to see a shift. Levi Wallace has now had two really bad performances in a row, and it certainly doesn't look like he should be an NFL starter at this point.
