A trade that could make a lot of sense for all parties involved this pre-season

The offensive line is going to be a spot on the roster to monitor when training camp kicks off. Who will be the starters on the offensive line? That is still a mystery at certain positions, even though there are favorites to land the jobs. Even though there will be battles to win a starting spot in the trenches, don't miss the depth spots on the line.

Multiple spots will be up for grabs especially in the interior group as plenty of competition is there. The starters will be Isaac Seumalo, Mason Cole, and James Daniels in the interior of this group. Those behind them like Nate Herbig, Kevin Dotson, Kendrick Green, and others will battle for the last few roster spots this pre-season.

Besides depth at center still being a concern, the depth across the interior of the line is strong. Competition should be fierce, and it could leave a former starter out of the fold when the dust settles. Dotson has been the starting left guard for the Steelers for some time now. He will likely not have his starting spot available anymore with Seumalo in the fold.

Dotson seems to be struggling to find his place with the club right now and that could lead to trade chatter. He has caused for some headaches across the headlines for the team with his claim that Broderick Jones is not ready to start this year. Dotson could make the team easily, but he could fetch a draft pick in a trade to a club that needs an experienced guard to start for them.
