There's no doubt that NFL schedule release day is one of the most overblown and anticlimactic days of the football calendar year. There is a ton of hype leading up to the official schedule, but we've already known which opponents our favorite teams would play since January 10th.
As the NFL schedule release has become much more theatrical in recent years, I've gotten to the point where I actually look forward to the schedule release videos. Each squad's social media teams try to one-up each other with creative, edgy videos to engage the fanbase.
Last year, the Los Angeles Chargers blew everyone out of the water with their awesome Japanese anime video depicting their schedule. After binging all of the NFL schedule release videos, here are the five best that you need to watch:
5. Minnesota Vikings
There wasn't anything overly witty about the Vikings schedule release video, but their social team just did an awesome job with this. They used a drone to give us a birds-eye view of the facility which acted like an awesome virtual tour. If you want to know what a billion-dollar business and top-of-the-line NFL looks like, watch their schedule release video:

4. Denver Broncos
I am a big fan of The Office, so this one resonated well with me. Though there were a few cheesy lines in their three-and-a-half-minute video, I loved watching them recreate some of the most memorable scenes from The Office with a Denver Broncos twist. They topped off a strong video with a schedule release on a spreadsheet in the conference room.

3. Cleveland Browns
I hate to give Cleveland a pat on the back, but the Browns' social team did a great job with their schedule release video. Brownie the Elf takes on some ridiculous fictitious team mascots in professional wrestling style in this animated short. I still can't figure out if Cleveland's mascot is an elf or a bulldog, but either way, it was a win from their social team.

2. Tennessee Titans
Many football fans are already calling this the biggest win of the NFL schedule release, and I don't have a problem with that. The Titans' social team crushed it with a TikTok-like video where they asked unknowing citizens to name each of their opponents. Their outrageous responses to each team logo was hilarious. This is going to be one that social teams look to as an example when creating their NFL schedule release videos next year.

1. Los Angeles Chargers
As much as the Titans schedule release video cracked me up, I have to go with the LA Chargers as the top video of the NFL schedule release. Their social team decided to go with another Japanese anime video, and the production quality and clever easter eggs were insanely good. It was so well thought out, that I watched it a second time and paused every scene so I didn't miss anything. So much time and effort went into this piece of art, and this is a must-watch.
should we REALLY make our schedule release video an anime AGAIN?

The Pittsburgh Steelers social team really stepped up their game for the 2023 NFL schedule release. Their video had a classic feel and featured tight end, Zach Gentry. They narrowly miss the cut this year, but it's worth checking out!
