Week 14: Patriots vs Steelers, Thursday, December 7th at 8:15 P.M.

It will be the holiday season when this matchup rolls around for the black and gold. This will be the second year in a row that the Steelers will host the New England Patriots on their home field. Last year was not kind to Pittsburgh after Mitch Trubisky and the sputtering offense could not get over the 14-point mark to win the ball game. That was a tough loss, but it set into motion Kenny Pickett getting the call to start.

By this point of the schedule, we should know what kind of team this iteration of the Steelers is. The Patriots are not envisioned as a powerhouse club, but they are fringe playoff contenders entering the season, just like Pittsburgh. They have some question marks on offense, especially at quarterback with Mac Jones rumored to have fallen out of favor with Bill Belichick.

There are two things that would come out of a win here for the Steelers. They would get revenge for their loss from last season, but they would also prove that they are getting better. Beating the Patriots this year is not like taking down a Tom Brady-led group. The same satisfaction is not present, but this win would help boost the Black and Gold into a better playoff position.
