Pittsburgh could sign another versatile option like Graham Glasgow

Some might hate the idea of not signing an actual center in free agency. That is what ultimately led to Mason Cole becoming a cap casualty this year. One thing about Cole is that he never had a great experience as a starter to begin with. He was also signed by the Colbert regime. It seems like Omar Khan might be trying to focus on different aspects of offensive linemen.

If they do wish to target some offensive linemen with versatility this offseason, then there are plenty of options. One name to monitor is Graham Glasgow. He is a reliable veteran and played on a tough Lions club that would fit the mold for who the Steelers are looking for in the trenches. Glasgow has spent most of his career at guard, but he has a good chunk of starting experience at center too.

When you look at his playing experience, he has been a guard for the majority of his career. His sole season starting at center was back in 2018, when he did a decent enough job. He wasn't anything spectacular that year, but he has been a great piece along Detroit's offensive line since being drafted. Glasgow is someone that can start at center, or even provide quality depth.

It would be best for the Steelers to draft a center in the earlier rounds of the upcoming draft if they do go this route. Glasgow is a quality offensive lineman who has a ton of starting experience in the interior of the offensive line. His lack of experience at center full-time is concerning, but he is someone who could be a reliable option in free agency that shouldn't break the bank.
