5 NFL Combine studs who must be on the Steelers radar

1. Jack Campbell is exactly what the Steelers need
The Steelers are once again looking for a capable off-ball linebacker, as the crew, they used last season was a weakness on this roster. They lack players that can attack the line, shed blocks, and blow up gaps. Jack Campbell can do all of that as evident in his college film, and he just so happens to be a top athlete in this class.
Campbell is a throwback style of linebacker, as he has great size and uses that to disrupt plays. He can take on blockers, shed, and close lanes for running backs at will. He can also use his size and speed to rush quarterbacks. While a good athlete, he lacks the same effectiveness in coverage. He has the athleticism to develop there, but there is no guarantee that he becomes a viable coverage linebacker.
While I still like Drew Sanders more as a prospect (he didn’t test at the combine), Campbell would fill a need on this roster. The linebacker room has lacked a player like himself for quite some time, so adding him to the roster makes sense. His elite athletic profile should make him an effective defender early in his career as he continues to work on getting better in coverage.
The Steelers love to target great athletes, and this draft has quite a few names that stick out in those regards. These five in particular fill needs tested well, and should squarely be on the Steelers radar moving forward.
