#1 Mike Webster, Center

If the Steelers could bring back one player from any era, that would be a complimentary piece to the Steelers team; based on the Steelers' 2023 draft choices, it would be Mike Webster. Teams don't usually find Hall of Famers in the 5th round of the draft, but then Mike Webster was no ordinary lineman.

Mike Webster went on to be one of the most durable players in the history of the NFL, not missing a game in 15 seasons, and given the fact the Steelers went shopping for blockers and had two phenomenal selections in the first and third rounds, they transformed their offensive line. If you look at who they have headed into the pre-season, perhaps the weakest link on the offensive line is at center.

So to complete an already upgraded offensive line, let's add one more piece. Now with Webster at center, Broderick Jones at tackle, and Darnell Washington blocking and not running pass routes, Najee Harris will be running wind sprints up and down the field with the football. Running aside, Webster was an equally effective pass blocker.

Thus,  adding Webster would be complimentary to adding Jones. Tomlin would still have to coach Jones' pass-blocking technique. Still, that aside that guy is huge. The protection Pickett would get from both Webster and Jones would take the Steelers passing game to a freakish level as it would the running game. Webster would be that one player if added, who would allow the Steelers to play in, if not win, another Superbowl.

We all know when players leave the game, it's for good, but nevertheless, each generation of fans will have that one special player; if we could just bring him back, we could win a Superbowl.
