  • The NFC South should be scared of the Steelers

4. Indianapolis Colts

Of the opponents that the Pittsburgh Steelers have faced at least 20 times throughout their history, they have the best record against the Indianapolis Colts. According to The Football Database, Pittsburgh has an impressive record of 27-6 all-time against Indy (81.8 percent).

This is particularly noteworthy, as the Colts have had some thoroughly impressive quarterback play for most of the past two decades. Peyton Manning was a Pro Bowl player by year two way back in 1999, and Indianapolis was fortunate enough to go from Manning to Andrew Luck.

Despite routinely going against a pair of impressive signal-callers, the Steelers were outstanding in this stretch. They only have two losses against the Colts since 1987. Ironically, these came in 2005 and 2008 when Pittsburgh would ultimately go on to become Super Bowl champions.

Mike Tomlin is currently on an eight-game winning streak against Indianapolis that includes two massive blowouts in 2014 and 2015. However, in recent years, these games have been decided by just one score. We will see if this outstanding streak continues.
