6 early NFL Combine studs Steelers should be enthralled with

3. Zacch Pickens just feels like a Steelers player
This is a guy who seems to have been in connection with the Pittsburgh Steelers since the beginning of the pre-draft process and it's not hard to see why. Though Zacch Pickens is a bit light for an interior defender (291 pounds), he has the tools Pittsburgh loves for the position.
Pickens stands at 6'4'' with impressive 34 3/8'' arms for an interior defender. He uses his length to his advantage and has a nice blend of run-stopping power to go with interior pass-rush ability. Pickens didn't disappoint at the Combine either, as he ran an impressive 4.89 at his size. He also posted good agility and explosion numbers in respect to defensive tackles.
At the Combine, Pickens moved well during drills. It's also worth noting that he's coming off a strong Senior Bowl performance as one of the more impressive interior defenders on hand in Mobile.
It's clear that the Steelers are eyeing interior defensive line help, and that seems likely to come fairly early in the 2023 NFL Draft. Pickens is a great fit and he's a player who could prove to be high on their draft board this April.
