AFC North RB #1: Cleveland Browns Nick Chubb

Deshaun Watson's presence in the huddle will give Cleveland more of a boost this upcoming season. A suspension sidelined the former Houston Texan for the majority of the season. He appeared in six games and received one of Pro Football Focus' lowest offensive grades (55.3) for quarterbacks last season.

Jacoby Brissett did his best to fill Watson's shoes during his absence. It resulted in a 7-10 record and fourth place in the divisional standings. Impressive performances from Nick Chubb were the highlights of a subpar season. Cleveland's four-time pro bowler ranked third in rushing yards (1,525) and tied for fourth in rushing touchdowns (12). He was the heart and soul of an offense that lacked finishing touches.

Expectations are high for Alex Van Pelt's offense this season. An eligible Deshaun Watson could be the missing piece to a dangerous offense. In 2022, the Browns ranked third in run offense (91.3) and 17th in pass offensive (67.0) ratings. A balanced offense will force defenses to change personnel often - resulting in mismatches throughout the game. Nick Chubb has proven that he is one of the league's most productive rushers. He's a threat the Browns plan to use often during their attempt at a playoff berth.

Developing a productive ground attack requires assistance from other parts of the offense. When defenses match up against a balanced offense, it can create opportunities to score points. Their rushers will keep defensive coordinators on their toes - resulting in productive seasons.
