No matter how things go from here, it's hard to envision fans being upset with the draft that the Pittsburgh Steelers have had. After trading up three spots to secure OT Broderick Jones in Round 1, Omar Khan miraculously landed CB Joey Porter Jr., DT Keeanu Benton, and TE Darnell Washington with three picks yesterday. In the process, he somehow managed to pick up a fourth-round pick.

Today won't mean nearly as much for the Steelers, as they only have three total selections on Day 3 of the draft. However, there are still some very good names on the board. Khan and assistant GM Andy Weidl have to be licking their chops at the chance to nab at least one more player who could help them out in 2023.

Here are the best remaining players on the board, according to ESPN:

  1. CB Kelee Ringo, Georgia
  2. DL Adetomiwa Adibawore, Northwestern
  3. OT Dawand Jones, Ohio State
  4. LB Henry To'oTo'o, Alabama
  5. CB Clark Phillips III, Utah
  6. RB Roschon Johnson, Texas
  7. CB Darius Rush, South Carolina
  8. OG Chandler Zavala, NC State
  9. QB Jake Haener, Fresno State
  10. OT Blake Freeland, BYU
  11. WR Tyler Scott, Cincinnati
  12. CB Terell Smith, Minnesota
  13. OLB Nick Herbig, Wisconsin
  14. S Antonio Johnson, Texas A&M
  15. WR Charlie Jones, Purdue
  16. OG Braeden Daniels, Utah
  17. CB Cory Trice, Purdue
  18. WR A.T. Perry, Wake Forest
  19. RB Israel Abanikanda, Pitt
  20. OT Carter Warren, Pitt
  21. S Daniel Scott, California
  22. TE Will Mallory, Miami
  23. C Luke Wypler, Ohio State
  24. CB Jakorian Bennett, Maryland
  25. OT Jaelyn Duncan, Maryland

Best players remaining the Steelers should target

It's crazy to see some of the players who didn't hear their names called on the first two days of the 2023 NFL Draft. Some of them have even been linked to the Pittsburgh Steelers as early as the first round during the pre-draft process.

Kelee Ringo now sticks out like a sore thumb. While the Steelers already drafted a boundary cornerback in Joey Porter Jr., it would be really hard to be upset with Ringo at this point. I feel the same way about Dawand Jones. I'm certainly not opposed to adding a right tackle -- even if the team is concerned about work ethic issues.

Cornerback Clark Phillips III is an ideal fit for what the Steelers could use. Though the team would be doubling-up on the CB position, Phillips will make his bread as a slot/Nickel cornerback who can mirror slot receivers. He would be an outstanding addition and could carve out a role right away.

dark. Next. Grading each Steelers first-round draft pick in the Tomlin era

There will be plenty of names to choose from today. Now the Steelers have to decide whether or not they want to fill some needs with their final picks or nab the best remaining players on the board. This should be a fun way to close out the 2023 NFL Draft.
