Jersey #94 Lawrence Timmons

Lawrence Timmons was another one of those linebackers that played for the Steelers for at least a decade. He was another first-round draft pick 18 2007. For a first-round draft choice, he was good, just not great. Still, he finished with 12 interceptions, one for a touchdown. He did have 35.54 sacks, but his strength was stopping the ball carrier; he had 983 combined tackles in his 10 seasons.

Jersey #95 Greg Lloyd

In 1987 Chuck Noll set off to find one of those linebackers like he had in the 1970s. He then stumbled upon Greg Lloyd, who played at Fort Valley State. He then went on to play linebacker for the Steelers for a decade.

Certainly, he could be considered one of the best linebackers of the 90’s, and he really came into his own when Bill Cowher took over in 1992. He was another linebacker that had that icy stare that would chill you and had the talent to back up that stare.

In his career with Pittsburgh, he had 10 interceptions, 34 forced fumbles, 15 fumble recoveries, 53.5 sacks, and 727 combined tackles. He also played in five pro bowls and was a three-time all-pro. He is easily one of the top 10 Steelers linebackers of all time.
