Former Bears QB confirms that Justin Fields needs to be the starter for Steelers

And if anyone would know about the position, it's a former Bears QB.

There really isn't a QB controversy in Pittsburgh right now. Russell Wilson was definitively named the starter, and then Russell Wilson got definitively hurt. While Wilson works to come back from a calf injury that's relegated him to emergency gameday QB, it's Justin Fields' show. Fields has played ... fine? ... through the first two games, and while the stats aren't spectacular, he clearly looks more comfortable than he did in Chicago.

And while there isn't really a QB controversy in Pittsburgh right now, that doesn't mean there won't be one soon! How exciting for everyone. It's just a matter of when, not if. Someone's going to manifest it into existence if it's the last thing they do, because what's the point of having an internet if you can't speculate baselessly under the guise of creating content?

Chase Daniel knows this. You may remember him from literally every football video you've watched on Twitter this year, or his career as the NFL's premier backup quarterback. Now that he is flooding your timeline with branded content, he's working on the art of QB Hot Takes and seems like a natural.

Chase Daniel wants the Steelers to stick with Justin Fields all year

Is Daniel filming this in a mall food court? Why does it sound like his film room is set up at the bottom of a pool? Find something you love as much as Daniel loves calling every completed pass he's ever seen a dime. 10 yard seam route? Dime. 7 yard quick out? Dime. Daniel has clearly realized that the key to succeeding on Tape Grind Twitter is just pointing your pencil on the screen and saying dime. That's what good QBs do – they're quick learners. Also #HereWeGo? Is Daniel trying to launch his own slogan, and is that slogan "here we go?"

Probably best to just let this one pass you by. There will be worse QB takes coming soon, I promise. There's going to be a time soon when Wilson is healthy, and Fields is still playing just okay enough to justify starting him – that will be the time to waste your energy on being mad about QB takes. The Steelers won't be undefeated forever (unless!) so let's just enjoy it while it lasts. Chase Daniel isn't going anywhere – there are too many dimes to break down! #HereWeGo
