Just ahead of the 2024 NFL Schedule release, NFL Insider Jordan Schultz confirms that the Pittsburgh Steelers will host the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day. There will be two games played on Christmas this year, and this national holiday falls on a Wednesday this year.

There's a catch to this that many fans didn't see coming: this game will be played exclusively on Netflix. The well-known streaming platform announced on 'X' that they will be the home of Christmas Day games over the next three years after inking a deal with the NFL for broadcasting rights.

This is a wrinkle that will have some fans pleased and others enraged. With streaming services exploding, this is becoming commonplace. In order to watch the Steelers vs. Chiefs game, you will need a Netflix subscription.

Why Steelers vs. Chiefs will be highly anticipated

While many football fans choose to unplug as much as possible around the holidays, others use their time off to kick back and watch the best sporting events of the year. Millions of eyes will be on the Steelers and Chiefs when they take the field on December 25th as part of a Christmas Day NFL doubleheader.

The kickoff time has not yet been confirmed, but we will have that information as soon as the schedule drops. This will be a home contest for the Steelers at Acrisure Stadium as they look for a Christmas miracle to upset Patrick Mahomes and the back-to-back Super Bowl champions.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have lost three straight games against the Kansas City Chiefs (including the playoffs) with a combined score in these three contests of 120 to 68 in favor of the Chiefs. Mike Tomlin's defense has allowed a whopping 40 points per game to Kansas City since 2018 -- a number that must decrease in order for Pittsburgh to have a shot in this contest.

The Steelers are searching for their first win against Patrick Mahomes, and with all eyes watching on Christmas Day, they will attempt to break the skid of embarrassing losses against the best team the NFL has to offer.

We can expect Pittsburgh to be heavy underdogs in this contest for this Steelers vs. Chiefs Christmas Day special on Netflix. Unwrap those presents and spend time with family in the morning, because in the afternoon, the Steelers could be playing their biggest game of the season in front of the world.
