The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off their first loss of the 2024 season. In Week 4, Mike Tomlin's defense got a wake-up call against the Colts. Now they will look to rebound on Sunday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Steelers and Cowboys are two of the most storied franchises in professional sports, and nobody will want to miss this primetime game. Unfortunately, neither team will face the other at full strength, as Dallas is missing edge rushers Micah Parsons and Demarcus Lawrence. At the same time, Pittsburgh has a litany of players out with injuries.

This out-of-conference NFL rivalry may not look like it did in the 90s or early 2000s, but everyone can enjoy a good Steelers-Cowboys regular-season matchup. Here's how you can catch the action in Week 5.

How to watch Steelers vs. Cowboys on TV

Unlike every other game so far this season, the Steelers won't have to compete with other games on the slate. This contest will be played under the lights of Sunday Night Football. SNF is broadcast on NBC. Mike Tirico will be the play-by-play announcer with Cris Collinsworth as the color commentator and Melissa Stark as the sideline reporter.

The Steelers vs. Cowboys Sunday Night Football game will be available to viewers nationwide on their local NBC station on cable TV. This will be the first of three primetime games Pittsburgh will play in October.

How to stream Steelers vs. Cowboys

Every Sunday Night Football game can be streamed with a subscription to Peacock. Because this is a national game, fans can also catch the hard-hitting action through streaming services like FuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, and YouTube TV. You can also stream the game with a subscription to NFL+.

Steelers vs. Cowboys game details

  • Location: Acrisure Stadium
  • Kickoff time: 8:20 p.m. ET
  • Last preseason matchup: 2021 (24-19 Steelers win)

Because the Cowboys and Steelers are out-of-conference opponents, these teams only meet once every four years (barring end-of-season records). The last time these two teams played came on November 8, 2020.

The previous matchup between these two squads wasn't everything it could have been. With quarterback Dak Prescott landing on IR with a season-ending injury, the Steelers had the luxury of facing backup Garrett Gilbert. Pittsburgh held on to win 24-19.

This time around, the Steelers will be tasked with slowing down the lethal combination of Prescott and star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. Get your popcorn ready!
