Jack Campbell just sounds like a Steelers linebacker

Jack Campbell is far and away my favorite middle linebacker prospect in this year's draft and would be my choice if available at pick 32. Campbell graded out as one of the most explosive off-ball linebackers in the entire NFL Combine and showcased elite agility.

At 6'5 249lbs, Campbell has prototypical size and strength that translates incredibly well into the pros. The former Iowa Hawkeye would make a strong case as a day-one starter for a defense that is longing for a linebacker of his caliber. His skill set would be a gift for Mike Tomlin and Teryl Austin, as he has shown he can make plays all over the field.

Campbell recorded 125 total tackles in 2022 along with one sack and two interceptions, per ESPN stats.

The Steelers can't go without addressing the linebacker position this offseason. Even if they sign a veteran to open the season, they absolutely need to think long-term and draft some depth to develop for the future.
