There are not many events that match the energy of seeing a Pittsburgh Steelers football game live. However, due to factors like location and finances, not all fans have the opportunity to see their team take the field for an all-important contest. The good news is that there's a much cheaper way to watch your favorite team in action.
Later this month, NFL training camps will be starting back up again, and most of them are open to the public for a select number of practices. So when can fans attend Steelers training camp and how do they get their tickets?
When is Steelers training camp open to the public?
The Pittsburgh Steelers have always been very kind to their dedicated community of fans, and Steelers training camp is a perfect example. While some teams only have a handful of practices that their fans can attend, the Steelers offer plenty of options. Here are the practices that are open to the public:

There are 17 practices in all that fans can choose to attend -- beginning on July 27th and ending on August 17th. Nearly all of these practices will take place at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. The only exception will be their Friday Night Lights practice that will be held at Latrobe Memorial Stadium.
How much does it cost to attend Steelers training camp?
While some teams do charge an admissions fee to watch training camp practices, the Pittsburgh Steelers do not. Both admission to the campus and parking are free. However, the team does require that fans secure their free tickets online via the Steelers official website prior to entry.
Take it from someone who has been to camp numerous times: this is an excellent and cost-effective way to watch your team in action. If you are coming from out of town and would like to stay for a few days, there are plenty of hotels in the area as well as restaurants and shops to explore when practices aren't going on.
