Don't expect the Steeler's plans in football games to see an overhaul until they struggle. They have found a boring way to win games during the early portion of the season. Last week against the Chargers finally had Pittsburgh's offense show they can close out games. Justin Fields finally looked the part and elevated his game to keep his name in the conversation as the starting quarterback.

The Colts are a team at a tipping point during the early part of their schedule. They have shown some good things, but they have also shown signs of struggle. With a young quarterback and some key injuries in their lineup, they could struggle in this game. It could be a perfect opportunity for Pittsburgh's offense to keep the ball rolling from last week and expand upon it.

It seems like the offense has been starting to move the ball better and remain consistent thus far. They need to get into the end zone more often. If Fields can take advantage against a Colts defense that has ranked among one of the worst in the NFL over the first three weeks of play, he could have a huge outing. This is a big-time showing for Fields in Indianapolis.

Justin Fields could have a monumental day for the Pittsburgh Steelers

Most predictions for this game have the Steelers winning. The Colts will provide some challenges to overcome, like Jonathan Taylor and the run game. Pittsburgh's defense will have to slow them down and provide some splash plays to set up the black and gold's offense. It will be up to Fields and company to not only score touchdowns when the opportunity arises but be smart with the ball.

One reason Wilson hasn't been rushed back is because Fields has not turned over the ball. If he can keep that going and score a couple of touchdowns or more a game, then he could finally cement himself as the long-term starter for the Steelers. He started to show some great stuff last week, and the hope and belief in Pittsburgh is that he can keep that going against the Colts in Week 4.

Najee Harris and the Steeler's run game should also play a big factor in this one, but Fields has yet to use his legs much this season. That seems to be by design as the team could be afraid of him getting injured. One of his best attributes as a player is his speed and athleticism. Don't live in your fears, so Fields should get more freedom to use his legs whenever he sees a chance in front of him.

This might be the best chance yet for Fields to lead this offense to a dominant win on the road. The Colts have a bad defense and have some key injuries that could hinder them further. If Fields can use his legs effectively and remain consistent with his decisions passing the ball, then he could be in store for a monster day. Perhaps a game where he eclipses numbers that Steelers fans haven't seen before.
