Patriots vs. Steelers final score prediction for Thursday Night Football in NFL Week 14
By Peter Dewey
The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered a bad loss in Week 13 to the Arizona Cardinals, and to add insult to injury, they lost quarterback Kenny Pickett in the process.
Luckily for the Steelers, they have a matchup with a New England Patriots team that didn’t score in Week 13 and has scored just 13 total points in the last three weeks in Week 14.
This Thursday Night Football game has a crazy low total with Mitch Trubisky and Bailey Zappe expected to face off, as oddsmakers have set it at just 30.5 points.
Using the latest odds for this game, I am going to attempt to predict the final score for this Steelers-Patriots matchup.
Patriots vs. Steelers odds, spread and total
Steelers final score prediction
This is going to be a low-scoring game based on the quarterbacks involved, which will make it very tough for the Steelers to cover the six-point spread.
Trubisky didn’t look great against the Arizona defense (one of the worst in the NFL) in Week, so I’m worried about him against a New England defense that hasn’t allowed more than 10 points in a game in three weeks.
While the Patriots’ offense is abysmal, the team can really defend, holding opponents to the sixth-fewest yards per play this season.
I lean for this game to go UNDER, but I can’t see the Patriots finding the end zone in this one. I do think the Steelers’ talent at the skill positions will help them, giving the team a close win at home.
Final score prediction: Steelers 13, Patriots 9
