2. Steelers need offensive tackle help

To be honest, offensive tackle is the position I hope the Pittsburgh Steelers target with their top selection this year. I think the talent will line up with the need, and the OT will not only help the offense get better but will also aid Kenny Pickett in year two (which is essential).

However, I have tackle as the second-biggest need following free agency. Dan Moore Jr. and Chukwuma Okorafor are both young players who are under contract and have multiple years of starting experience under their belts. But this isn't a position in which you want to settle for anything less than good.

The Steelers had an underwhelming offensive tackle pairing last season, and this could have potentially contributed to the low floor of the offense, as they just weren't trusted to hold up long enough. Going from a pair of former mid-round picks to a true first-round prospect at the position could help more than many fans realize.

Additionally, Pittsburgh was very fortunate to have the healthiest tackle pairing in the NFL last year. That can't be counted on again in 2023. While the team recently signed Le'Raven Clark as a depth option, they need much more than this. Even with the addition, the Steelers have just three offensive tackles on their roster.
