1. Steelers need cornerback help

The biggest need should come as no surprise, and it's something the Steelers have struggled with for some time now. Pittsburgh desperately needs more help at the cornerback position following free agency.

After losing Cameron Sutton to the Detroit Lions, Omar Khan was quick to turn around and sign veteran Patrick Peterson. However, at nearly 33 years old, Steelers fans shouldn't be expecting to get the All-Pro player like he has been in the past.

Based on the players who are currently under contract for Pittsburgh, the mean age of a Steelers cornerback will be 29 years old by training camp, and they have no upside to be found on this team. Even if Peterson works out, an unspectacular competition between Ahkello Witherspoon and Levi Wallace for the CB2 role is less than ideal.

In addition to needing another starter on the outside, Pittsburgh also lacks a competent slot cornerback that they can trust in nickel and dime. Arthur Maulet is the only player who currently fits that profile, but he has really struggled over the years as a coverage guy.
