Pittsburgh Steelers free agent signings, live tracker, and grades
By Tommy Jaggi
The start of the NFL free agency period always promises to be an exciting time. As soon as the NFL kicked off its legal tampering period on March 13th, a cluster of moves were made by numerous NFL teams within a matter of minutes. For Pittsburgh Steelers fans, it may not have been the start of free agency we were all picturing.
In the coming days, there is sure to be an influx of roster moves around the NFL that will have us on the edge of our seats. At the start of free agency, the Steelers got out of the salary cap hole and gave themselves a little bit of breathing room to work with.
Omar Khan has far less money spending money than Kevin Colbert did in his final season as Steelers GM in 2022, so we probably shouldn't expect any monumental moves. Here's everything we know so far.

Steelers free agency grades
It's hard to be overly positive after losing our team's top cornerback. Pittsburgh is left with a severe lack of talent at the position. A lot will change in the coming days, but for now, the Steelers get a B-. They did let their best cornerback walk in free agency, but replacing him with Patrick Peterson was a nice touch. Still, they are likely only getting a stop-gap player on his last legs as Peterson is 33 years old. Adding Isaac Seumalo could prove to be an excellent move for a team that had a struggling offensive line in 2022.
