Pittsburgh Steelers inactive list for Week 3 game vs. Chargers
The Pittsburgh Steelers received devastating news that 2024 first-round pick Troy Fautanu is expected to miss most if not the rest of the season with a knee injury. While this opens the door for last year's first-round selection, Broderick Jones, to get solid reps, Fautanu's injury is disappointing.
The Steelers aren't alone with injury struggles. The Chargers may walk into Acrisure Stadium without their starting quarterback and Justin Herbert suffered a high ankle sprain in last week's win over the Carolina Panthers.

Offensive Impacts
Russell Wilson again takes the emergency third quarterback role as he'll dress as an official inactive.
Roman Wilson, unfortunately, will have to wait another week for his NFL debut. Thankfully, the hard-hit Calvin Austin sustained late against the Denver Broncos will not keep him out of the game, giving the Steelers a stable lineup at receiver.
Fautanu and Seumalo are both out as expected. Seumalo is slated to return in the next week or two, though Spencer Anderson has played well in his absence. Broderick Jones will step in at right tackle looking to absolve himself of the struggles that have plagued the early portion of his second season.
Defensive Impacts
Darius Rush is a healthy inactive, which isn't too surprising after Cory Trice picked up his first career interception filling in for Donte Jackson for a single play last week.
Terrell Edmunds is still getting acclimated and is also a healthy scratch.

What to Know
Justin Herbert is going to play for the Chargers after testing his ankle out in pregame warmups. The Chargers are keeping all three quarterbacks on the roster active.
Herbert will be without Joshua Palmer among his receiving targets, but the Chargers will be looking to run the ball early and often to keep Herbert out of the grasp of TJ Watt and Alex Highsmith.
