As we get set for training camp and the regular season, Pittsburgh Steelers fans are excited and antsy for football. Steelers fans are a different breed, too. Pittsburgh fans take football as religion, just as most of the AFC North teams' fans do.

Speaking of the AFC North, let's talk a bit about players the Steelers fan base love to hate, with most of them coming within the division. This list will be comprised of both current and former players that have caused us fans to be filled with rage.

The division is young at the moment and new rivalries are being formed. It will be interesting to see which current players become hated rivals as the years go on, but let's look back a bit and talk about five players the Steelers fan base loves to hate above the rest.

Terrell Suggs

The first on this list is one of two Ravens to play on the same vaunted defense for years. Terrell Suggs will go down as a Ravens legend. He currently sits a mile ahead of anyone on the Ravens' all-time sack leaderboard, with 132.5 total. The next-closest, Peter Boulware, comes in at 70.0 over his career.

Suggs was feared by many, but you had to respect the guy. He did a number on Pittsburgh and seemed to make a big play every single time these two teams came together. But, again, the fact was, he was simply such a good player that the Steelers couldn't do anything about it.

At times, it felt like playing against a quarterback that was too good to defend, except Suggs played on the opposite side of the ball. In 30 career games against Pittsburgh, Sugg's stat line was purely ridiculous: 66 total tackles, 31 assists, 15.0 sacks, three fumble recoveries, and two interceptions.

The 7-time Pro Bowler was named the 2011 NFL Defensive Player of the Year. Fortunately, the Steelers were able to enjoy one last laugh despite the honors. That year, the Ravens fell to New England one game short of the Super Bowl.
