Steelers could usher in new era with these 5 OC candidates

5. Darrell Bevell, Quarterbacks Coach/Passing Game Coordinator, Miami Dolphins
Lastly, Darrell Bevell is an offensive coordinator that's been around for a long time. He's currently the passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach in Miami, where the Dolphins boast the league's no. 1 offense in yards per game, passing yards per game, and scoring.
Bevell has spent time with several other teams over the years, most notably guiding the Seattle Seahawks to a Super Bowl appearance back in Super Bowl XLVIII. He has worked with quarterbacks like Brett Favre, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Matthew Stafford, Trevor Lawrence, and now Tua Tagovailoa. That's quite a list of reputable passers.
Bevell is another former quarterback, with an understanding of how to play the most important position in the game today. If Bevell has been able to take much away from Mike McDaniel and the type of offense they run in Miami, that kind of scheme would highly benefit the Steelers. The Dolphins run the ball very well, but they use it to set up big passing plays.
Pittsburgh has a couple of running backs and some playmakers at wide receiver and tight end. That offensive line could use a little work, but the overall scheme needs to be better. Whether it's Bevell or any of these other guys, the Steelers have some excellent candidates to choose from.
