5. Kenny Pickett, QB

After a phenomenal offseason, training camp and preseason, Kenny Pickett was primed for an excellent Year 2, right? It doesn't get any tougher than going up against the San Francisco 49ers defense in Week 1, though, and Pickett struggled big time.

Pickett ended the day having averaged just 5.0 yards per pass attempt, throwing two interceptions and taking five sacks. His QBR finished at a miserable 23.6, with a quarterback rating of 68.4. Neither of those numbers are anywhere close to good, of course.

Beyond the numbers, Pickett was simply inaccurate on a lot of his throws. He did not look anywhere close to the guy we saw in the preseason -- which is why we say, it's only preseason, right? Some of his decisions with the football were questionable at best, and he appeared to look a lot like the guy we saw in his rookie season: a lot of room to grow.

As we've said already, it doesn't get easier for Pickett in Week 2, as the Browns completely shut down Joe Burrow, disallowing him to even get to 100 yards passing. Will Pickett be able to bounce back against a Cleveland defense that looks like the real deal, early on?
