This offseason, the Pittsburgh Steelers have some crucial decisions to make regarding the future of this team.

Last year, we already saw the team start to take a new direction after the bold (but necessary) move to fire offensive coordinator Matt Canada. Now, going into an offseason full of questions at the most important position in the game, can the Steelers right the ship?

The black and yellow aren't accustomed to mediocre seasons, and under Mike Tomlin, they have yet to endure a losing campaign. However, if the quarterback position isn't figured out this year, the team could be in danger going forward.

One of the team's key free agents, this offseason, is veteran quarterback Mason Rudolph. What happens with Rudolph in free agency? The Steelers already cut ties with Mitchell Trubisky. Could they do the same with Rudolph?

What happens with notable Steelers free agents such as Mason Rudolph, among others?

While many of his teammates have expressed their favor for Mason Rudolph over Kenny Pickett, and there is a strong belief the team would like to re-sign him, I'm going out on a limb here and saying that Rudolph will not be back.

The Steelers are going to make a move -- a big one. That's my ultimate prediction. They invested first-round draft capital in Kenny Pickett, so he'll stick around at least as a backup, for now. But, when it comes to a starter? This team is going to make a bold move to either trade up in the 2024 NFL Draft and get their guy, or make a move for a veteran.

Even though there have been reports stating Pittsburgh isn't going to go after a veteran, I'm not buying it. Tomlin is a fan of Justin Fields. Russell Wilson is being rumored to Pittsburgh. This team is going to explore every option.

Other than Rudolph, though, what happens with the other key free agents? Let's move on to some guys we think will be back.
