Regardless of how the 2023 season 'shakes out', barring us hoisting another Lombardi Trophy, the Steelers and, more specifically, Steelers President Art Rooney II may have some decisions to make regarding the coaching staff.
I think it's fair to say that the coaching staff is not necessarily full of names that are being ballyhooed as potential coordinators or head coaches. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but if you consider that Mike Tomlin probably has the ultimate say in who gets hired as coordinators and coaches, it does bring into question some of the decisions that Tomlin has made concerning the coaching staff.
I would argue that a head coach is only as good as the assembled staff. If Rooney is contemplating making a change at the top, so to speak, there are pros and cons inherent in making that decision of that magnitude.
Let’s take a look at the pros of moving on from Mike Tomlin.
