The free agent frenzy is finally dying down. When the legal tampering period kicked off on March 13th, we witnessed a rush of moves that were hard to keep up with for the first three or four days. Since then, NFL teams haven't been nearly as busy. The Pittsburgh Steelers made some improvements during this time, but so did their rivals.

Omar Khan and Andy Weidl were able to beef up their offensive line while wiping the slate clean at the off-ball linebacker position and starting over with a pair of team captains. Was it enough to keep up with their rivals in the AFC North? Here are my divisional rankings following the free agency frenzy:

4. Cleveland Browns

I'm not going to sit here and pretend that the Cleveland Browns didn't improve during the 2023 free agency period. Though they did lose players like Jadeveon Clowney and Taven Bryan, they more than made up for their losses by adding talent like DT Dalvin Tomlinson, EDGE Ogbonnia Okoronkow, S Juan Thornhill, and DT Trysten Hill.

In addition to these moves, the Browns added a weapon for QB Deshaun Watson by trading for Jets receiver, Elijah Moore. Moore was a former second-round pick who could revive his career and give an otherwise stagnant offense a spark. Cleveland was also able to retain C Ethan Pocic and LB Sione Takitaki.

Despite a strong free agency, the Browns still have some work to do on their roster and they will have a hard time finding impact players in the NFL Draft. Cleveland won't make their first selection until pick 74 overall in the third round. I still think they are fourth in the division as of now.
