Getting back to the Super Bowl seems like an uphill battle now for the Steelers. They will need to use some of their premiere draft capital wisely to get back to the NFL's promised land. Things will not be easy for Omar Khan and company to make the most of their picks to bring on immediate impact players to fill out important spots in their lineup.

Pittsburgh holds three selections within the top 50 picks in the upcoming 2023 NFL Draft. They hold another selection in the top 100, and they will need to bring talent into the organization in specific areas of need. Every year brings different prospects that rise and fall on draft boards, but these players are getting their names into the right conversations.

1. Steelers could have interest in Dawand Jones in the early rounds

A moment seemed to be lost on Dawand Jones at the Senior Bowl after he failed to get much playing time. He got injured during the first practice and that kept him out of the All-star festivities for the remainder of the event. Jones has the perfect size for an NFL tackle, and he was dominating the competition during his one day of participation.

One of the biggest question marks for whichever club could select Jones will be where to deploy him. He has mostly played right tackle at Ohio State, but he could always flip over to the left side for his new club. The Steelers will have to keep close tabs on this massive player as they could use someone to join the offensive trenches. Jones would be a solid first-round pick, but he would be tremendous value on day two of the draft.
