Free agency is still in full gear upon us, and the Steelers have been aggressive via signings and trades up to this point of the offseason. They still have money to work with, so it is not a crazy statement to say they will add another piece or two before the draft. Changes can still be altered for the football club between now and the conclusion of the NFL Draft at the end of April.

Right now, they still need a lot of help in the trenches both on offense and defense. Center is a glaring hole and an upgrade at right tackle should be a top focus in the draft.

Receiver is another big issue currently after the club traded away Diontae Johnson. It seems like if they sign a free agent, they will still possibly add in the draft. There are plenty of other needs Pittsburgh would like to address on top of the ones listed above. Here's what I have them doing in my latest seven-round mock draft.

Amarius Mims. player. . Offensive tackle. . . 527. Mims. Amarius Mims. 1

Steelers mock draft round 1: Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia

This one seems like a slam dunk based on how the draft seems to be shaking out. There are a ton of talented tackles coming out of this class, and the Steelers need someone who can play on the right side so Broderick Jones can slide over to left tackle. We know the Steelers have shown a ton of interest in many Georgia players coming out of college.

Amarius Mims remains the popular choice for the black and gold in round one. Many seem to be demanding a center, but that position has historically slipped when the draft rolls around. Don't be shocked if Jackson Powers-Johnson and Zach Frazier are available in round two. Pittsburgh knows there are some other quality centers for later and takes Mims instead.

Mims is a quality athlete who has struggled to stay on the field. He is coming off an injury, but he was an impactful player when he was able to start games. His lack of experience as a starting tackle could be concerning, but he has great tools to work with. The Steelers sent the house to Georgia's pro day, so we know the interest is there.
