Pittsburgh gets to Work by Re-signing some of their own pending Players

With buckets of cap space, the black and gold can enter free agency without any cap concerns. Before we get to that portion of the offseason, we must offer some deals to pending free agents. They have a couple of role players that need to be re-signed. The Steelers start things off by bringing Chandon Sullivan back on a cheap one-year deal. He provides a starting option and potential depth piece.

Pittsburgh turns their attention to a Pro Bowler from this past season. They re-sign Miles Killebrew. He has been one of the best special teams players in the NFL for the past several years. He deserves a new deal and gets one. Killebrew re-signs under a new three-year contract that has him paid a little over two and a half million per season. Solid move there.

Filling out the outside linebacker room now, as Pittsburgh looks to bring back Markus Golden. He isn't getting any younger and decides to re-sign on a one-year deal with the club. It doesn't cost the team too much as he signs for a little over a million bucks. Golden provides a stable veteran presence to add quality depth on the edge.

Rounding out the re-signing portion of this mock offseason with the Steelers bringing back Armon Watts. He was one of their better defensive line depth pieces this past year. He provides some pass-rush skills that some others in the group lack. He is brought back on a one-year contract that pays him a million bucks. Good depth piece for the black and gold.
