Cornerback:

1. Patrick Peterson
2. Levi Wallace
3. Desmond King
4. Joey Porter Jr.
5. Chandon Sullivan
6. Elijah Riley
7. James Pierre

The Pittsburgh Steelers have an interesting situation at cornerback this year with several new faces. Patrick Peterson will start the season at LCB while Levi Wallace will be the man opposite him at RCB on the depth chart. Backing up the boundary cornerbacks will be Joey Porter Jr., while James Pierre is unlikely to see the field unless there's an injury.

Desmond King is expected to be the starting nickel cornerback, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Chandon Sullivan listed as the starter in nickel. The Steelers also kept Elijah Riley who can play both slot cornerback and safety.

Safety:

1. Minkah Fitzpatrick
2. Damontae Kazee
3. Keeanu Neal
4. Miles Killebrew

Minkah Fitzpatrick will be the starting free safety for the Steelers and he is projected to have Damontae Kazee opposite him at the strong safety position more often than not. Keanu Neal will be listed as Kazee's backup. Miles Killebrew is also a strong safety type, but they could list him as Minkah's backup just to make the depth chart look more balanced.

Special teams:

K: Chris Boswell
P: Pressley Harvin III
LS: Christian Kuntz
KR: Calvin Austin, Anthony McFarland
PR: Calvin Austin, Gunner Olszewski

Chris Boswell will once again be the lone kicker for the Steelers, and Pittsburgh is once again going with Pressley Harvin as punter and Christian Kuntz as the long snapper. We expect Calvin Austin to be the primary return man at kick returner and punt returner with McFarland serving as the other kick return man and Olszewski as the backup punt returner.
