Steelers mock draft: Pittsburgh boosts their average weight in the trenches

Steelers mock draft round 7 (via MIN): RB Evan Hall
I haven't seen many mock drafts that include the Pittsburgh Steelers selecting a running back on day three, but I certainly don't think this is out of the realm of possibility. Benny Snell is currently an unrestricted free agent whom the team could look to resign for the veteran minimum. But even if the Steelers want to bring him back through the summer, he's not guaranteed to make the final roster.
Though Snell does add some value on special teams, I wouldn't be surprised if Pittsburgh used one of their final picks on a running back they think can supplant Snell and play special teams. At 5' 10 1/8'' and 209 pounds, Northwestern's Evan Hull isn't as big as Snell, but he's an excellent athlete.
With 4.47 speed, the Steelers could get a young, fresh running back on a rookie deal at a position where he will have a solid chance to crack the roster. After seeing how impressive Jaylen Warren was last year in limited action, Pittsburgh is probably pretty satisfied with their RB2 behind Najee Harris, but competition makes everyone work harder.
Worst-case scenario, Hull winds up on the practice squad and can be promoted in the event of an injury. After filling a bunch of needs in free agency and with earlier draft picks, the Steelers could have some flexibility with this selection.
