Early in the fourth quarter second-year starting cornerback Joey Porter Jr. was shown on the broadcast heading to the blue medical tent with an undisclosed injury.

Porter was replaced in the starting lineup by fellow second-year defensive back Cory Trice Jr. Porter has had a strong performance in coverage against Atlanta Falcons WR1 Drake London and has two tackles.

It appears Porter was having his shoulder looked at, though there has been no official update from the Steelers or the broadcast.

Porter being off the field can be problematic for the Steelers as they work to preserve a late lead against the Falcons. The Falcons have had some success throwing the football, though it hasn't come through Porter's coverage. London has just two catches for 15 yards in the game.

Otherwise, the Steelers defense has played well, though often stymied by questionable penalties.

Cory Trice is seeing his first regular season action after missing his entire rookie season with an injury.

Porter returned to the field following the Steelers' failed fourth down attempt in the red zone. The Steelers need Porter on the field as the Falcons trail with an opportunity to take a late lead.
