Steelers post-combine mock draft: Pittsburgh gets back to their roots

Steelers mock draft round 7 (via MIN): TE Brenton Strange
It's unclear whether or not the Pittsburgh Steelers will look to address the tight end position in the 2023 NFL Draft, but their interests at the Combine appear to point that way. Of the five tight ends the team reportedly visited with, Brenton Strange was one of them.
Strange and Pat Freiermuth overlapped during their time at Penn State. While Strange stands just under 6'4'', his thick 253-pound frame helps him hold up at the point of attack. Strange also tested as a pretty explosive athlete in Indianapolis.
Meanwhile, Zach Gentry is set to become an unrestricted free agent. The team could probably get him back on a cheap deal, but they may prefer spending a late-round pick on a rookie who could give them more insurance in the event of an injury to Pat Freiermuth.
As a seventh-rounder, Strange would simply be hoping to make the team. Even if the team re-signs Gentry, they could draft a tight end with their last pick with the intent of stashing him on the practice squad in his first season. There's at least some interest in addressing the TE position, and this could be a match.
